How do you erase "factory samples"?

nothing when you want to record stereo. That was a big part of my problem
above. Sorry i am so naive but it never occured to me when I bought the MPC that I would have such narrow parameters to start with (to learn inside of) I still would like to know how to delete samples without turning the machine off. But more important how do you install the exm128? Or is it
way better to install the hard drive?
