MPC + PRE or MPC solo

does anyone route thier mpc to a pre b4 going into DAW or what ever u record it into? or do yall just go solo mp to the inputs im asking this because i saw a post about the mpc sounding phatter through a tube pre but the mpc already has compressor and eq to make sound fat any ffed back is greatly appreciated.

any good pre is worth trying..

like my mic pre? i got a focousrite platinum pre and with all sorts of comp/limiter eq and so on.. and is there any one using mp+pre? does it sound fuller?

... there are many ways to make your tracks sound phat my friend.... try resampling

yeah well..keep it as simple as possible..comps an eq is nice..but just remember whateva u print with eqs and comps is gonna be hard to fix in the mix, if it suck balls..what i mean about pre is just that..not eq etc..

my mp's outs and the gear controlled by it are connected with a simple behringer rackmixer before going onto hd which allows to add or cut highs and lows. for making sounds really really bad i take various distortion pedals but a very nice way to make stuff sound "warm" also is connecting the outputs to a tube driven guitar amp
