2kXL MCD vs. MCD-upgraded 2KXL

I'm looking to buy a used MPC 2KXL, but I'm not sure whether it's worth maybe spending a little extra for a 2KXL MCD or whether I should just buy a standard XL and upgrade it. Plus, will someone with no knowledge of upgrades be able to fit a new drive themselves, or will I have to pay someone to do it?

get the original and upgrade it.

The only DIFFERENCE u will have is the AMOUNT of money you pay. So go for the cheaper priced one cause what the XL-MCD has the XL-original can have to.
