my mode button just broke

umm ya my mode button just broke what can i do? my warranty ran out

in what way did it break?

i was choppn some samples goin back and forth from trim to program to setup my new sample to pad and my mode button just stoped workn, i turnd it off then back on agin and it still dont work. like it dont feel like its busted it just doesnt work

i just contacted vst for a price estimate, this fuxckn sucks. has anyone had this problem before? even mode light doesnt work, i took my mpc1000 apart just to see if it was somthin as simple as a cushion like the pads. but nope its nothing like the pads. infact its smaller than the pads its a lil tiny pad. that the plastic mode cushion rest on. i would have to remove the brown board witch i assume is the motherboard of the mpc1000 just to see whast underneath but im not that ballsy. i dont know whats underneath it. pads are one thing but this is a totally different ball game. can anyone help me? im desperate

Take the button off and hit the small round depressor under it
If that works then switch it for a button that you don't use

holy shit that works. how the **** did u figure that out? ya i took off the plastic mode button they all look the same and underneath it was that circle depressor thingy i poked it a couple times and now it works. how come? btw are these signs that its gonna die soon?

AND HOW THE **** DID U MANAGE TO REPLACE THE CIRCLUAR DEPRESSOR THINGYS?

1. rease button broke
2. rubber toppers came off
3. pad 12 13 14 stoped having pressure sensitivity
4. tap tempo function stopped workin

now im with an XL MCD...no probs yet...

1k is chillin collecting dust...

i'll give you 300 dollars for it

wonder if you could replace the lights, it would be cool to have like pink lights or some ish
