Replacing the floppy with a Zip drive

I want to replace the floppy with a zip-drive on my 2000xl...
does anyone know how I should go about it?!

Its an easy job to do. Check the link below or do a search using the term:internal zip drive(search within the mpc2000/xl section).

Don't do it, go for a caedreader.

You can easily go for the IDE card reader.I installed it myself in the place when the floppy drive used to be Here is the manual http://home.tiscali.nl/%7Esmeyer/mpc/
It's very easy.

You can buy one from this shop - they can send the stuff to Sweden (just checked it)

By the way - don't update the OS to 1.20 before installing the card reader.If you use the 1.14,leave it in your 2000xl.It will work fine

An zip drive or card reader CAN be put in the MPC2000 BUT requires modifcation, EXPENSIVE modifaction that is. You just come out better buying EXTERNAL SCSI DEVICES.
