LOW STEREO OUTPUTS ON THE MPC 60?

Hey you guys,
just copped a 60 and i was wondering, is it me or are the outputs on the 60 this LOW or is it something im doing wrong or maybe im just so used to the 3000's,2000xl's,etc..

yeah it lower than most. replace your some resistors and it will get louder.

No, youre not trippin, the 60 is quieter than the other MPCs. Best thing is to sample just right before clipping and keep your samples loud. Turn the volume on the 60 all the way up and then adjust what you need to on your mixer.

another way to get it louder is using a preamp. me, I don't mind the low volume. when I track it, I get record level as high as possible without clipping.

oh ok cool! well i havent sampled any of MY drums into it yet.i was just listining to some sample floppy disk it came with so maybe thoses drums were sample a lil low.i know me myself ii usually sample my stuff in dam near clippin! ok cool thanks guy.im thinking about coupleing up the 6o with a akai rack sampler to use as my MAIN sampler and the 60 will be my drummachine. i got the 3.10 OS in it also.

what about a DI box,will that help?

the separate outs are a bit louder than the stereo outs
but all in all it's not a problem, still pretty close to +/- 0 dB...
as long as your samples are loud enough, you can always add gain on your mixer when you'll record your work.

oh ok,well im going from the MPC to my MOTU 2408II soundcard. at least at this point i will only be using the stereo outs for now. i was thinking about a DI BOX. would that help?
