Hi this is probably a question that gets asked a bit but I couldnt find any answers under the search function (its hard to know what to search for).
Basically I have my beat on my MPC and now i want to transfer it to protools. I want each track on my sequence to be a separate track on Pro Tools (or any multi track recorder for arguments sake).
What is the best way to do this? I do not want to just record my entire sequence as one audio track in pro tools as i am planning to do a lot of post production on each element (ie reverb on snares / hi hats etc) once in pro tools.
How does everyone else achieve this? I imagine they would use digital outs from mpc into digital in of their sound card and record into pro tools, but how do you sync the tracks? Do you use a midi cable, or the SMPTE?
At the moment i dont have the 8 outs, but i will consider buying them if somebody can tell me a good way to transfer my beats into pro tools.
Any help much appreciated.
