Drum roll patterns...

Now on the Mpc2k, the roll patern is set to whatever the tempo is...Now, my question is, can you make up your own drum roll patterns???

For a example, u kno those down south soungs that have those 808 snares doing the rolls...thats the kinda patterns I'm talkin' bout!

i know what your talking about and have been trying to do the same thing. Havnet figured out if its possible.

together:1/8 and 3/8 combined with note repeat

It takes practice, but I do mine freehand. Turn the quantization off, and turn the full level off.

Fast hi hats, drum rolls, and snare rolls set the Timing to 1/32.

Hold the NOTE REPEAT Button while either the sequencer is playing or recording and hold down the pad u want to repeat and watch what happens. That what u looking for?

Sort of nicole but were trying to do it where the speed of the roll changes not just a constant speed. Itll go from faster to slower. I know exactly what he was asking its hard to explain, ill find a track that uses it.
