a wise punter would have tested that XL first, there is also some diagnostics you can run on the pads to see if there all up to scratch.i have seen this before, a friend of mine always went sick with his data wheel, especially when triming sounds, i told him to ease up and use the nv slider as the knob wouldnt last for ever and was sure to burn out at the rate he spun it. When i had a look, he had spun the knob right off and it was all burnt inside.

First off do you know how to solder?(not a sarcastic question either) If so then you need to contact Nick and ask him if he has the data wheel replacement in stock. (www.vstservice.com)

Shift + NV slider is a good way to get around while trimming, My jog wheel acts up so I use S+NV alot.

HMM im not expert..because if i were..it would be next to muh name..lii muh man lampdog..but any way..this might sound primative..but my wheel stopped working and when it did i opened it up and looked at the part and nothing seem to be wrong but when i pulled up and turned at the same time on the wheel it worked..so i took off the knob..grab some pliers and pulled up on the piece until it was stuck up in the position where it was moving..so now muh shi t works..and im da don and u could be too wit pliers...and a "I dont give a **** attitude"..HOLLA
