Have you or anyone you know ever made any money sellin beats on soundclick? I see producers pricing their beats from 20$ to 1000$ but do they ever get sales? Is it worth the time setting up a soundclick to sell beats?

Myspace is the place to be now. Best networking around. Especially if u an artist or producer looking for work or promotion. Soundclick use to be da sh*t i mean it still has its uses but everybody now on myspace. Even i had to go start my page up there cause thats were all the clients at.

Nope wasn't a featured artist. Here is a example of what I was talking about. scroll down the page under the music player you'll see a flash player that has like 12 songs playable, with the combo of using both the myspace player and the mp3 flash player you can have maybe up to 20 playable songs maybe more I'm not sure.Hope this helps!!1

I was wondering the same thing. My question about soundclick is this:

I wonder how many people on there (soundclick) don't make music. I would think it is made up of mainly guys like us that make music. It would be interesting to know how many are just listeners.

It took me about four months to get $1,000 from soundclick. I started getting inquires and purchases on soundclick after I started heavily promoting my music everywhere I could.

Ok I have a question for the people usin SC or/and MS.
Its about posting track on their players, hosted from them. Dont they gain some right to use your beats/trax? I mean I know about the non-exclusive thing but uhmm i dunno.
Do you all live with it w/o problems? This thing always disturbed me but id like to post (not to sell atm) my hiphop beats and tracks around and i thought to a regular flash player on my website and then advertising the link around online but im really interested in other artists opinion.
I think you probably discussed this already on this forum but i searched and found any.

As far as soundclick or myspace having the rights to use your beats, I don't think that's true. I mean I don't know much about the laws, but they cover a lot of that when you upload your song to the site. I would think that your protected by the law in some kind of way.

Of the two Soundclick seems to be a very legit place to post your music. Nothing wrong with MS, I just prefer SC.IMHO :D
