Lower Quality Chopped Samples???

Lets say I sample in a 4 bar loop. I goto CHOPSHOP and cut it up into 4 pieces. After I convert them, the chopped samples sounds like they are lower quality than my original 4 bar loop. The sound quality becomes poorer when it is chopped for all my samples. Can someone help with this problem?

people say this about the 1000 and 2500 and i'm inclined to think it's user error

first, if you're chopping stereo, the resulting chop is mono. for now.
2nd, if you're chopping mono, you may have the release set too high. this will corrode the sample if it's a small chop. turn it down to like 10-20 and see if it sounds better.
