Hey guys.

ive read topics on this sort of thing before, im really just trying to clarify cos im a bit confused.

im getting a casio keyboard which has midi in and out. what i want to do is, hook it up to my mpc and bang in a drum sequence, then playing that, and while thats playing back i want to play some notes on the keyboard. like a melody/base line whatever, and i want it to record directly to the mpc and keep playing. can it do that?
now i know midi cables dont carry audio, so do i hook it up through the audio outs of the keyboard?

sorry if thats confusin..just trying to rap my head around it.

cheers.
