USB QUESTION???

can i let the usb cable between mpc and pc all the time?without problem of
fonction in mpc,or must i take off the cable after each transfer.I drop this
question cuz after many many transfer the port of the mpc and pc can be
destroyed.

it was an update in os version 1.2 i think.

it says that you have to UNMOUNT the drive after using it using the Unmount function within the MPC.

The old version you had to disconnect using the Windows Disconnect Hardware wizard.

but whether you HAVE TO - er.... Lamp, what you rex?

Rex, what is that?

I don't know anything about the unmount 2500 usb thingy.

I do think that usb was made with intent of often being disconnected and reconnected.

Yeah USB was made for unpluggin and pluggin, but with a USB key you normally get a LED on it which flashes green when ready to taken out and Red / Amber when in use.

Improvements to USB connectivity

Now, the MPC 2500 does not have to be disconnected a computer before leaving the USB page. However, due to the differences between Macintosh and Windows computers, it is necessary to eject the disk mounted on the Macintosh before leaving the USB page.
