so i need some advice.  below i listed my equipment.  what i want to know is what you guys use if you have a mac and use osx.  i am currently using my g4 with audiowerk2 sound card and micrologic on os 9.1.  i hate restarting my computer every day to change os.  it would be nice to have something similar to logic so i dont have to learn a new program, but i will if it makes a difference. i want to make the right choice and spend some money on something that is fully functional on osx.  thanks for the advice,

mac g4
mpc2kxl
behringer 8trk mixer
ensoniq eps sampler/synth

I know several people running logic under osx.   I don't know if the audiowerk has osx drivers, but the rme hammerfall hardware has beta drivers for osx.   you should look into it.[/color]

yeah, RME hardware sounds great. the multiface box is like the digi 001 minus the pre amps, but it adds word clock and better converters. their site is http://www.rme-audio.com. check out the hammerfall series. Another killer combo would be the RME 9652 audio card and a motu 2408 expansion i/o(ifyou need a lot of digital I/O).

Check out http://www.emagic.de for E-Mail Support. I found no OSX Drivers in their download-Section. I´m runnig the same Setup in my G4, so im using Mac OS 9.2.2. If you want to change to OS X without switching to OS 9, you will need another Soundcard, I think. A friend is using the Motu/RME-Combination with G 4 and Logic Platinum in his Studio (professional) and it´s realy cool, but a little expensiv setup.

Audiowerk drivers available for Mac OS X 10.2
December 20th 2002

Emagic's Audiowerk 8 and Audiowerk 2 now run in Mac OS X 10.2. This new Core Audio driver allows these two PCI-recording cards to operate at a minimum latency of 1.5 ms. Further information about Mac OS X and Core Audio, in particular, can be found on the Logic and Mac OS X MicroSite.

Check out www.emagic.de for the new Drivers....
