@REN

It's the Behringer Xenyx 1622FX. A good box for the money.

Yep, ES6, with the mLan card. Very cool to have all audio and MIDI to and from the PC over a single firewire cable. I still need a cable tidy, though :)

Yes, I'll usually record to the AW and then transfer the mix to the PC for mastering (I really like the Voxengo Elephant plugin). Although I love the simplicity of recording to a hardware device, it is still very cool to be able to edit your takes in Soundforge or whatever. Really the best of both worlds.

I'll also occasionally record direct to the PC through the Motif with mLan card. mLan, once you get it working, really is amazing. It turns my Motif into the most expensive sound card I've ever owned :)

Oh i do the same with the vs-2000cd i do all the recording/effects in there then using USB i send the session over to Adobe or Cubase for further mixing and the complete product. I love it. Im planning on doing a video about it real soon.

Cool! Sounds like we've got pretty similar workflows. I'll look out for that video!

What you think of the 1600? Do you use the 24bit often?

Im thinking of either upgrading my boss 8 track to the 1600, or buy an mpc(to compliment my sp404). So im just trying to see which is the better purchase...

Very nice set-up Bertie, though I'd move the PC off the desk.

@J.Daniels

I've only had the AW1600 for a couple of months but I love it so far, although I haven't experimented with 24bit recording yet. The quality is great, and the PC transfer is very cool too.

@XL

It's a Samsung SyncMaster 940BW. They had them on special at CompUSA a few weeks ago. And now you've got me wanting another...

@pb-sh

Yep, moving the PC is on my list of to-dos. Plus it'll free up some room for my second monitor (see above) :)
