HOw to change sequences with Cubase

My question is: can i change sequences on the MPC (i owe an MPC 2000) with Cubase, once i sync it with the sampler ?

Sure, song mode takes care of that. If that's what you're refering to. You compile all of the sequences that are used and arrange them in there proper order in the song mode.

Sorry dabmeister, i didn't explain my problem quite well.

What i'd like to do is to be able to change sequences of the sampler by using midi messages sent by CUBASE (master) to the MPC (slave).

Are you refering to "program change transfer"? Akai states that on the 2000xl one can send program change events within a particular track, but I'm not sure if the 2k has this feature.

not really an answer to your question, but i used to just forget about sequences all together and record all changes on one sequence. record everything individually and then just build my songs inside cubase. totally left the sequencing thing alone and did all arranging inside cubase.

why not just export your mpc midi loops to cubase, arrange them there, save the whole thing as a midi and re import that as a 99bar sequence for instance.
