Sometimes when I record midi notes with a midi controller through the MPC out to a synth, playing the notes cuts off the samples I have already sequenced. Does this happen to you guys, it really sucks... I don't even have a program turned on to the track I'm recording, but somehow it mutes other programs which I have sequenced with...

i avoid this problem by resampling to get the voices down to like a few. dont forget to cut ur samples not only for space reasons but also so ur sampels dont cut each other off like they do. what u wanna do for example is master mute groups witch isnt hard also use mono instead of poly. mono will cut samples off and mute groups will just shut it up. theres many ways this can be done. but if u got a synth and its cutting off ur samples hmm thats new to me man ive never had that happen before. remember the mpc1000 supports 32 voices of samples meaning u can have 32 voices played at once anymore than that will cut one off or more. synth dont cut samples off.
