Question for heads who have installed a MCD in their 2000xl

You must look at the specs for the drive! The first drive I bought for my first MPC looked right, all the connections looked good - it was an Addonics. It powered up etc. but would not do anything else.
Why? After looking around in the specs it did not support ATAPI. it supported IDE only.

Check into that. You may have to exchange your drive.

which o/s are you using?

didja have to partition your card?

is it a scsi device, if so double check the jumper pins.

no...but i did use MPC editor to format the card

uhm...i have not run into any problems yet. how would i check what i have available??

In the load or save screen you can see how much space is left on your card.
