Midi Dump??

Hey guys what up?.........Ok I did a search, looked over the manual with no luck. I would love for someone to help me with getting the 2500 to recieve a midi dump from a sound modual. I can get my external equipment to transmit the midi data. I just don't know where to set up the device I.D on the mpc or how to make it recieve the data. I know this is not something that is hard, I just need someone to steer me in the right direction.
