Slaving cubase sx

Hello I want to slave cubase sx 1-3 with my mpc1000 but had problems last time I tried because I remember that cubase sx 1 cannot be slaved by midi clock only mmc! I was wandering if cubase sx 3 allowed it to be slaved by midi clock? or should I update to version 3 which I hear can send mmc in which case I could slave cubase sx 1-3 with my mpc1000.

or should I go with pro tools does this allow itself to be slaved by midi clock.

I do know that It would be easier to slave the mpc but that is where my beats start and I don't want to mess up the mpc bounce with a cubase midi clock any suggestions

also does any one know a good cheap midi/audio interface with 4 audio inputs

i dont use cubase but have u tried asio4all driver? that supports midi clock
