Need clarification between manual and some posts on here??

As I'm reading through the MPC2000 classic manual(i know, a shock huh?), I came upon the Programs sections. After reading that and reading some posts on here, I'm a little confused. The manual states that the MPC2000 can have up to 24 programs, but I've seen it stated more than once that it can only have one? Are these two different "programs". Just looking to understand this.

You can have up to 24 loaded in the MPC2000 but can only use one in a sequence!!!!

Okay, that makes more sense. Where with the XL you can use multiple programs in a sequence? So with the 2000, in order to have different sounds in one sequence I will need to have those sounds on one of the 4 pad banks in one program? Like drums bank A, basses bank b and so forth?

yeh. and with the 2kxl u can use up to 4 programs on the same sequence
