this is akais plan to get us to pay for an OS. You have to realize that the cost of fixing an OS is more expensive then it is to design it. Fixing these bugs is costing akai money.

If they involve a third party, it makes it look like the third party is a hero and its good for akai because we are all glad to pay for the OS with all its bonus features.

murahachibu had to explain/direct the contact he has of the JJ camp to Paypal. i'm pretty sure if this was some akai conspiracy they wouldn't have to be told about paypal.

also, why is it more time consuming/expensive to fix an os instead of coding the entire thing from scratch?

The more you defend this...the more I believe. I am starting to believe that you may benefit from the sale of this OS. Just a hunch...but no facts to back this up.

Also, Pay Pal maybe big...but not very popular in Japan.

believe what you want man your conspiracy theories are wild as hell. i'm an undercover akai operative looking for your 30 dollars

Wild?? Every chance you get, you advertise this software and even moderate the forum. Of course it could lead one to believe you will benefit from the sale of this software some way. I think you owe Tutor some money for advertising in this forum...wait...maybe he is in on it too

I guess I have to repeat this one more time. Roland did the same thing with selling the software upgrade to their Fantom X series products. Numark could be doing the same thing ??? For you not to believe this is possible leads me to believe that you are in on it

So, what's your cut?

yeah i dropped out of the ghost busters - the mpc1000 forum is like the crack den of production forums. definitely not worth it.

actually, the way i'm benefitting from this is the same way anyone else is - i'm getting a better os. that's all that needs to be said.

i am a 20 year old english major with no coding experience - so obviously a double agent for nukai/getting monetary benefits from the coming os

congrats, gumshoe

--yeah i'm a mod of my own forum, which is a tricks/tips forum with my blueprints for better designs. the jj forum is a part of my musical collective's larger forum

I am a boy hotdamn it!

But back to the conversation...why are you so amped at people trying out/paying for this OS? Why are you dissin the 1000 Forum and now MOD your own MPC JJ 1000 forum as well as spend plenty of time in this forum trying to convert others...and I am led to believe that you don't own a 2500 or ever used any of the older MPCs.....

I am just here to question/address certain things because it seems you are gaining something more than just an OS with added features. The more your protest..the more I will keep asking. Are you hiding something?

Don't get mad 'Toine

i have every reason to be frustrated, as i've told you no i am not hiding shit, while you continue to post misinformation and stuff that does not belong in this topic.

jesus christ, you'd think someone might APPRECIATE me being vocal and attempting to lend support/ideas to an os which would better the 2500

now seriously, if all you're gonna do is make wild claims, don't do it here, as they're absolute nonsense. if you really want to keep giving me shit, send me a pm.

stop making a public spectacle. EVERYONE would benefit from a kickass os for these machines.

if we work our influence right we could end up with simult and other badass features like

So now you are back to moderating these forums?

Dude...take it easy. Its not that deep. But as much as you keep protesting...I am starting to believe my own speculations. I did say that I was just speculating and have no facts for my beliefs. But since you continue..I will keep believing what I want.

As far as the 2500s OS, I am happy with it the way it is. Of course, I would like to see every function the MPC 3000 and XL has to make it to the 2500. But I could really don't care about any other special trick/feature. MPCs are drum machine/sequencers...not digital audio workstations....not multi-timbral sound modules....and mos def not a video game. While JJ is doing their best to rearrange menus....the MPC series has done fine for almost 20 years with their straight-to-the-point operating systems. The 2500 already has a kickazz OS and the alternative OS has a site dedicated for talking about it.

And we can use of influence (and not have to pay $1) by posting the features we want in this forum as well as emailing Akai directly. It has worked so far...several feature requests have made it to OS upgrades.

So call my claims wild if you will. I never passed them off as facts..and I am entitled to my opinions. And I still think you are up to something. You will have to give me a cut of the profits to keep me quiet......

"knock...knock'

Oh shite.....someone's at my door! Son, they are trying to knock-me off for uncovering the truth! Run....save yourself
