hy fellers
i record a q-link 1 control on track 1! q link 1 is set to cut off! by fault - my mistake - it is set to control all parts! but i wanna just set it for frack 1! once i ve recorded it it applies q link 1 to all parts, tracks, ...! is it possible to set q link 1 afterwards not to be applied on all other parts? ... or do i have to redo the whole sequence new?
thanx fellers
btw: i've not tested yet all funct. of the new os! ... but the first impression is that it is ****in great!!!

yo alto, it's real EZ, man.
All ya gotta do's go back to QLink setup and change the Part from ALL to 1.

yo man!
i did that already! but i don't like the result! once i ve set q1 to cutoff and part 1 and q2 to resonance part 1 they re set! if i wanna use them later on for otther parts, destinations, .... i gotta problem!
q links are great imo as long as one has drum programs! there you can record cutoff changes, lfo settings, ... for each pad/ sound! if you have a keygroup prog you can't really do that! well, i gotta rethink how to use them best anyway!
thanx for ur answer

aaahhh... ya didn't say ya wanna use the Qlink 4 other Parts than Part 1.
But there's a trick :D
Ya gotta set the Qlink SENDs to transmit Controllers and assign the Controllers in the modulation matrix of the programs. Say, ya set Q1 to send Ctrl 20, Q2 to Ctrl 21, etc, and in the mod matrix, assign Ctrl 20 to Cutoff, Ctrl 21 to Resonance, etc. After recordin' Qlink for a Part, ya can set'em to other controllers and the recorded controls won't change.
With that trick, ya can control external synths too! 8) ya feel me?

uuuh that sounds good doc!
gonna check that out right now! do the controllernumbes (20,21, ...) have some specific func. or can they (0-127) be set deliberately (hope so - if so one is basically unlimitted!)?
question: if i record them in this way, they re basically saved onto the selected tracks, played back in the recorded way and i can reassign my qlink knob as often i want, right?
external synths: i usually record cc from my external synth! works fine! am i missin somethin? or lets say, does it have advantages to control the external devices via qlink? imo it should be the same!
thannx

Some controllers got preset functions, like 1's modwheel, 7's volume, 10's pan, etc, others are free. Ya kno, the 4K shows the controllers functions in step or seq edit when ya view or insert control changes.

Yup, that's just what I said b4.

It's the same. But all Midi modules ain't got knobs to send cc's, and ya can't connect all yer synth's midi outs to the 4K's midi ins, right?
