Trying to get ahold of the timing on the MPC...

I'm trying to get the timing of the MPC going from programming patterns on a step sequencer. Does the Quantize "fix" the timing during record or after? Do you record with the quantize on or off?

you have to have quantize on before you record for it to work.
I used to use quantize now i dont

getting your timing right on the MPC takes a little practice ...
nothing can take the place of practicing with your MPC...
this doesnt come over night i can promise you that .. but i will
pan out for you if you continue to practice

Yeah I found that out with the whole notes doubling up with me. By no means is it getting frustrated. Just setting up and getting everything going is so much easier than my ASR that I had. To me, it definitely has gotten me "wanting" to get better more. Like both of you said...I'll just be practicing. Practice makes perfect. If I have to go track by track, sound by sound.
