I ain't hear to start any shit but I am going to keep it real on the 2500 converters. They are just okay. I referenced them to a 4000 and the MV and they just sounded to thin. I know I can beef stuff up in the mixdown but why not get things right from the beginning. I had a couple of questions if anyone has the time to answer. If I were to use a nice mid-range to highend converter and then fed the output via spdif into the MPC would it record it exactly as it was being inputed. Next, if I were to feed the signal through an older unit like an ASR-10 through the analog inputs would it capture the warmth of the ASR? Any info is appreciated.
