Okay. Here is the deal.
For example, I have a sample that is a little bit shorter than half of a bar. So, I need to make it exactly half a bar long. Is it possible to timestretch it in real time or assign this sample length as 1/2 bar so if you'll change bpm then it'll be automatically restretched?...

OR

The only way is to timestrech it using originial tempo and new tempo fields?

P.S. - the ChopShop didn't seem to work in this situation.

What I would try doing is sample the piece again, but sample a complete half a bar, do the time stretching, then cut the end of the stretched sample that you didn't want when you sampled orignally.

Huh? What's the point of that?

To answer the question...there's no realtime timestretch, you would have to stretch the sample again if you change the tempo. Only Patch Phrase does what you want, but that doesn't work well with all samples.

The point is he would get accurate BPM readings, so stretching would be very easy for him. Then edit the sample as he would like once the tempo is correct,. How does that not make sense to you???

In that way that I don't see why the BPM detection should be more accurate when the sample is longer than it should.

I assume his sample is still 2/4 long, but a little too fast to fit into half a bar of his sequence.

You could always try the percentage method. This is explained in the manual on page 67(left hand side mid-way down)I think this would be the easiest way to get the sample just right, granted it may take a few trys to get it perfect. The way I would approch it is like this; set your original tempo to 100,and since your sample is already close to the half bar point ,set your new tempo kind of low( i.e. 102 maybe lower). What this does is time stretch increase the sample by 2% and likewise if you set the new tempo to 105 this will increase the sample by 5%.You may only need an increase of .7 percent in that case you would set the new tempo to 100.7. try this a couple of times with different numbers and you should be able to get it. Once you get it close to where it almost sounds perfect you may have to use the decimal to get it just right i.e. (new tempo 102.4). I hope this helps man!!1 :D.........Like I said this is the way I would do it...someone may totally disagree with this method, but try it for yourself.
