Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Ok first let me give you all a basic idea of my set-up

I have a Delta 66 4in 4 out soundcard
A 12-Track Beringher Mixer
And an MPC 2000XL (With 8 Outs/Efx)

I went to the Mixer mode in my MPC and switched the Outputs to the correct 1,2 numbers (I'm just using 2 Sounds to test it out)

Now I put my Drum in (1) and my Clap in (2)

Now on my Mixer fader 1, is my Drum sound... and 2 is my Clap

So I got the sounds separated as far as the Mixer goes

But when I go to COOL EDIT to Record them, it records BOTH sounds as 1
Instead of Recording them Separate it records the Drum & Clap pattern

I got it working through the mixer as far as Sound Separation goes but it still Records the WHOLE pattern ...

And yes I did Record more than 2 tracks on Cool Edit both picked up the whole pattern

Someone please help me out, I feel like I'm close ... I been trying to make it work the best I can but now I need help

I appreciate it

if your mixer has 4 sub groups you need to hook up the individual sub outs of the mixer to the delta ins, then assign each track to a separate sub group.

You need to pan each track hard left or right, channel one will come out subs 1 and 2 unless you pan hard left for sub 1, or hard right for sub 2.

i would say if you got stereo sounds then you need to put one on 1,2 and the other on 3if your sounds are monoyou should be able to seperate the sound as you have it must be the way you have it hooked up to your mixer.

Mono channels on the mixer will come out on 1/2 if you have pan centered.

Read your mixer's manual, or just the spec sheet. See how many subs you have.
