Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hello!

I'm just getting started with my mpc, and a few days into it, I can no longer load full programs into it from my scsi zip. It'll load the first few sounds and then a window pops up reading "unexpected end-of-file". Occasionally it'll then go to the "cannot find file" skip option window, but it usually just quits loading all together :?

I can't seem to find any references to this error message anywhere in the manual or on the net, and as far as I know all the wavs I'm trying to load are mpc-compatible.

help?

unexpected end-of-file normally comes from malformed WAVs - usually because the disk may be corrupt, or perhaps the source file had errors. I recently transfered some WAVs from Soundforge and got this error - resaving them in Soundforge corrected things.

'cannot find file' occurs when a PGM file is loading up sounds and the filename it is looking for does not exist - either because the file has been moved/deleted, or has been renamed. Files get renamed when transferring from Windows to MPC via disk, but only when file names are longer than 8 characters, hence avoid naming files with more than8 characters .
