wassup people,

just wanted to take a quick poll of people who have used the zip100 drives, to see how common the click of death is.

trying to decide whether or not I should consider other storage options.

thanks.

If this is for 2000xl,then there is nothing to think about :) Get the card reader.
Unfortunately I'm stuck with the zip drive in one of my samplers, and am hoping not ever to hear this legendary ;) click of d....

Anon_twist, you aint the first and you won't be the last, do the internal card reader thing if you on 2kxl..

So if you get something like this, that means you won't need a interface to track out songs from the mpc?

No, this is just another (more reliable way) of storing your data on your mpc. This has nothing to do with tracking out songs.

it's actually for my eps16. I got a 2kxl with a built in zip drive but I don't use it too much.

since I knew a lot of heads use the zip drive with the 2k, I thought I'd see if the COD happened much any more.

I don't think any card readers work on the eps16 though.

so far, for the couple years I used my 2kxl, the zip drives for my mpc60 and eps16, haven't had any problems, but I don't want to be another statistic either...

having a hard time finding a drive other than the zip that'll work on the eps16... got a syjet 1.5gm coming soon though..
