just installed it..
first thing I noticed, there's a stop watch on the top right corner!!

can u use it now or do you have to wait until he sends you a password? do the tracks you had saved sound the same or do we have to adjust the levels again?

loaded some projects, everything sounds fine! no big crashes or anything like that (so far..) I took some notes while testing..
the Data wheel is acting weird in Load menu though, its jumping through folders fast! (edit: apparently it jumps values depending on how fast you turn it!! this also works in TRIM mode! need to get used to it, but definitely cool!)
Only when you go into Save mode, you see this
(they have disabled saving)
you get a password when you buy the full version.
Just noticed:
(new features - or maybe not, since I'm trying new stuff now
- in MAIN:
* SHIFT then F4: shortcut for track 61-64
* WINDOW on tempo: you can assign Q-Link to change tempo in realtime!
* Naming is real fast with DATA wheel
* Default Names for each track (but you have to use F5: C&P to copy/paste default name.. a bit quirky
* THRU icon top center of LCD (when thru is enabled)
- in TRACK MUTE: UnSolo. After using Solo, you can Unsolo multiple tracks.. It's not what I was hoping for (instantaneous multiple Solo).. but maybe I'll get used to this.
- in MIDI/SYNC: MIDI TIME CODE is there! (with frame rate) haven't tried it yet though.
- in OTHER: P.MODE: you can assign different functions (tap tempo, trim, new program...) to PAD1-16 of Bank A only.. weird! I tried Tap Tempo, much better than original Tap Tempo button!
- in PAD15 Grid Edit: you can now see a big number (left side) of the selected track, and you can switch between 2 views: tracks 1-6 and tracks 1-16. In 1-6: only first 6 tracks are shown, even when you go to track 7.. weird
- in EFFECT: as promised DELAY is now also in FX1 list.
- in RECORD: Time is set to maximum record time by default (this was on my list of requests to JJ! F sweet!!!) plus there's a remaining time countdown!
- in LOAD: playback (preview) of samples is much faster.. instantaneous. You can retrigger the sample with no lag.

Thats a bummer. Thanks for posting the info though as I was just about to download and install the new OS but use Logic Pro 7.
Might wait until this is ironed out first.

WHAT THE ****?! so this means you can't save any beats for about 48 hours? now that SUCKS! couldnt they think of any other way?

Well, if saving won't work for 48 hours, why don't you go back to 3.05 for the two days? Or did you get addicted that fast? I find it quite resonable.
Where do I find the pong game?
There is in fact one aspect that I find a bit uncomfortable. Since I use a lot of ReCycle loops with my MPC I want to adjust the levels of all pads at the same time. That works quite well with Mode+Pad 11 though I would rather like to see the entry for level settings way earlier in the list. I hate stepping through...
