Not any cheaper than the 1000...but yeah, cheap.

I actually prefer the look of this to the red and blue 1k. Especially with the blue light...

If only the specs werent so dissapointing...

MPC500 and Pt01

way too expensive for what it is. nice design though.

the 2500 and 1000 have the same processor and guts as this thing. maybe akai/numark need something with more grunt under the bonnet, after all the thing that runs this is 3 or 4 generations out of date and is not as economical/ powerful as the latest generation of pocket pc processors.

in terms of cost the thing should be $450 -600 tops for what it is.

such a shame. hope the 3500 is a lot better.

And has there been talk about the deterrence of the wave editor on such a small display?

there is no wav editor....

its numeric, actually better imo, makes you use your ears instead of your eyes...

these come to mind over the battery powered mpc500. Not really that practical to use in tandem, but cool none the less.
