Regarding Midi-MPC:

Quote: also triggerin samples from your mpc program?

Triggering samples is wonderful as always. I checked it for half an hour and it works perfectly in my set up. I also can play my snths and drums via the pads, and so on.

But to get things right: I triggered the MPC samples which are organized in a MPC programm. Do get you right?

HELP!

check the connection, it seems a sort of midi panic, sometimes happen with wrong conection, or where there is midi feedback

Please, check on your set up. I works so perfectly in my set up that I can't believe you have these problems. Have you activated Midi Thru? Well, that is for out going signals. Try to use a different Midi cable. I had stress with Midi cabels recently. Sounded a bit like your problems. Give it a try.

truvc, you are right, I was distrubed by this feature, too. How are you supposed to make an arrangment like that, without instantly hearing what you are doing.

Too bad, too sad.

i think its just a matter of getting used to it. it def works...its taken me a few goes and im still def getting used to it. i thought it wasvery buggy the track mute recording at first, but the more i play with it the more it works properly. this is a reallly big update....lots of new features with little documentation (i cant really b bothered to read the mpcp 2500 manual). tried synching with ableton live 5 demo, it worked a treat. lots of new things to try. not much more i can really ask for. also auto slice is very very good, but again u need to adjust the threshold settings to get it right. lots of new stuff = more ways to make mistakes. its gonna take a few weeks b4 i master this new os.

does the new OS chop in STEREO????

By littlerob Wed Sep 20, 2006 7:41 pm
man i just made the sickest beat in like 5 mins. i know ppl will whine and say xtra features dont mean shit....its all about skill....why do u need this, can u not make beats without feature 'x' and all that yada yada...but these r features that ive really really really wanted on my mpc. didnt think they would get implemented. the midi time code addition r simply essential features that shld hav come with the mpc from the point it was released. its pathetic that u pay all this money for a product that has bn put on the market lacking such fundamental features that it is actually capable of. recording track mutes has bn a wish as soon as i pressed the track mute button for the first time when i bought the mpc. always thought what a pointless feature without the option to record mutes. its just teasing u. this new os allows u to b way more creative without having to b an mpc geek. auto-chromatic is again another feature that was clearly very easy to implement. i just dont get how these companies get away with releasing half finished products. i know they obviously do on purpose so u r forced to buy the more expensive options...but seriously if the functions that jj's os offers were listed on the box of the mpc i bet sales or at least interest in sales would increase.
