Not better IMO, but not bad.
I won't be chopping or editing on this sh!t anyway.

Hopefully, the q-link will function like the data entry slider on the ASR. 8)

ASR heads know this is nothing.

I know...but I just wanted to share that the price can be lowered if you get the right place.

I should be priced no more than $499. I remember when the 1000 first came out and were sold for $699 at AMS before all of the hype. There is no way I would advise anyone to buy this machine. Save up you money and buy the 1K unless you got money to burn.

Im no good with this html coding and stuff so I dont know how to actually post pictures on here but in Selecta Jo's post on page 17 where he post the pics from the japanese website, It looks as if the screen is tiltable like the 2000xl or the 4000 or the 2500? I hope that that is the case, I hate the fact that the 1000 has the fixed screen and no back lighting.

Also I noticed how everyone thinks they are going to be able to hook up a portable hard drive to this thing, If you noticed on the back it doesnt have that kind of usb port, it only has the kind of usb port that will allow you to use the 500 itself as a mass storage device when its connected to a computer. It would need the flat kind of usb port to be able to connect external hard drives like the front of the 4000 has.

Its strange. I really think i would rather stick with my sp-404 than this thing. and that machine cant even display more than 3 numbers!
By alskee Thu Sep 21, 2006 8:44 am
guitar centers everywhere or in main us cities should have them already out and displayed. san fran got em. the shit is unstable and freezes. pads are horrible. yes same as the 1k but this thing is smaller so its cheaper made..........i had to bang the hell out of it and it still sucked even with 12 levels on. buggy as hell too...not ready yet. waaaaaaay overpriced.
