Hello, i have just bought a Akai MPC60. The guy who sold it told me that there wille be no expansions installed, all will be original. But i figured out that it has the memory expansion installed. So i just want to know if the SCSI-Expansion also is installed. The only problem is to figure this one out. I tried it as descriped at rogerlinndesigns.com:

Press DISK, then 8, you should have 4 menu options if your SCSI is installed correctly, if you have 2, it isn't installed right.

When i press DISK i have 8 options to choose, the eight one is "Copy a disk". But after pressing this button, i have no menues left, the display only shows "This will erase all sequences in memory" and i have to insert a disk.

Please help me to figure out if the Marion SCSI-Board is installed (i cannot read the name on the board itself). The OS-Version is 2.02

The comments about disk menus relate to OS 3.XX for the MPC60.

OS 2.XX ( with the exception of OS 2.14 ) never supported SCSI.

100% certain you don't have SCSI installed.
