chicago digging

anyone know whats good in the chi to dig at?

I dont know ne spots but go to www.craigslist.com and search for records/vinyl in the chicago area. You might be able to get a great deal on some good records.

If you're downtown, and really want to drop $$$,
hit Jazz Mart on Illinois, just west of the lake.

i think its on fullerton and clark...not too sure. i just know how to get there by walking south from belmont

dusty groove is EXPENSIVE!!!! great stuff, just EXPENSIVE!!!!
that's on division and ashland...a little bit south of there.
you can take the blue line to ashland and you're basically rite there.

you know where the AMC movie theatre is on illinois? near navy pier? right before you hit the via duct/ bridge, there's the jazz record mart.

the bargain bins there are pretty cool...i found some really nice stuf in there. and there are free posters all over the place within the record shelves

hi-fi on clark,oak park records,if you got dough to spend go to dusty grooves they're expensive though,but guaranteed to find something you like
but like jaem said most spots are over priced & over picked,my favorite spot was record surplus in des plaines,they had good shit for the low closed 2 years ago

Nothing rare really, but a f#@kin bargain for certain.

aiight this gem is for those not scared to really dig, I dont mind giving it up cause I got some new spots. It may be a lil picked over mostly thanks to assholes who'd rather steal than buy the records from a dolla joint. on 79th and Stoney theres a 2nd hand furniture store under the skyway.. they got records, good ones (not always in mint) espcially if you into gospel.
