playing a beat loop and be in HD and prelisten possible?

Is There a way to be in the hard drive searching for a sound or sample to pre-listen while a beat loop is playing on the mpc? i can't figure out if there
is, i just record into mac and loop it ans then get into the hd and play samples but it would be way more efficient if that was possible also what would be nice is if you where in the hd and instead of having to hit that damn play button it would automap the sound or sample to all or a single pad.
BTW can you do any of these things in the 4000?-

It might not be possible but im fairly new to the mpc and i don't know anyone personally to ask them.
So if anyone can say "yes" or "no" or even "you have to do this you idiot rtfm!" i would appreciate it

So you're asking that while a sequence, or sound is playing, can you be able to listen to samples (from a hard drive) simultaneously?

yes...cause if im playing a drum loop sequence i can't mode/load the sequence will stop playing.
I hope they can fix this with os update cause its really weak for workflow (unless) im doing something wrong cause i might be i was saving programs and stuff all wrong a couple weeks ago-lol thanks-j.

Well iv'e been readin a little on here and i guess it's not possible..
For me as a 1st time mpc owner and basically knowing nothing about making music.Buying the mpc was the easy part getting used to it was basically messin with it every night after work ( for a couple of weeks) but having all these bugs in the os and making the users basically do the work for akai really sucks they should of been on top of it way b4 to me since im a new user it seems as if this is the first time theve made one.
Don't they ship out like 50 of them in pre production stage to people (mpc Users) so the can check em out ahahahah f*$k it !!!!!!! i gotta eat

This isn't possible. If your playing the sequence, 'Mode' + 'Load' doesn't work, and if you're in the Load menu, 'PLAY' doesn't work either.

i don't understand why, but i guess i'll have to trust em on this one
