scsi cd rom- what kind should i get? what kind is compatible

i already got a external zip, i need a cd rom, i just need to know what kind,specs and where to get it.and do i need to get another scsi cord for it to hook it up to the zip? or does it hook up to the mpc and i run the zip through it?

you can do any combination you want ,you just need to have the good cable.....
