What type of cables did you use to hook them up. 1/4" audio or midi???
Could they be bad???
You've turned the volume up on the korg and MPC???

List how you connected them.

The audio outs need to be connected to an mixer or soundcard depending on which one u are using. Thats why U dont hear ne thing.

so the audio is not played back thru the mpc but thru a mixer that both the korg and mpc is connected to?

If you have things setup the way you say they're setup, then you'll need to set the mpc to its "sample mode" which will allow audio to pass through and be "monitored". From the mpc, the audio outs go to your mixer. I'm actually speculating this because you never stated what your intentions were in the first place other than getting sound out of it (the mpc) and the audio not being played back through it as well.

thanks for reply

i want to be able to quantesize the midi that is played from the korg on the
mpc so that i can use all of the timeshifting options like swing, later -earliere.idont want to sample the korg. i want the mpc to comunicate with the korg so that they are syncronized.

so that i can record all the midi i played on the korg and play it back on the
mpc.

the mpc will control everything in the sequence. but the sound will be played back on the korg.

You want to use the korg as a midi controller just go korg midi in to mpc midi out, korg midi out to mpc midi in, mpc audio out to mixer/speakers/soundcard whatever. Sample sounds into the mpc and set up your programs then use the korg to trigger those sounds. If you don't want to sample the korg you don't need to use its audio output.
