How to get samples to pitch bend from a midi keyboard?

Yo, I've got a real nice set of flute sounds in a chromatic pgm that a very kind soul at this forum made for me. I hooked up my midi keyboard to my MPC 1000, and I could play all the sounds over the scales etc. But I was wondering, is it possible to use the pitch bend on the midi keyboard (microKorg) and then make the MPC pitch that flute sample accordingly to my moves on the pitch bend wheel?

i don't think so, but i could be wrong - why don't you use the qlinks?

Because the qlinks don't bounce back to the original position when releasing them

if you're pitch bending in 1 direction, you can simulate this by setting the lowest or highest setting at 0 - this way, return it all the way to the top/bottom when you want it to "snap back."

Yeah, I tried it... Worked to an extent, but not the same... I want my pitch bend

i dont think that this is possible on the mpc1k. It would be nice if the qlinks could send midi messages, because i like the expression of the pitchbend on certian insturments.

the midi implementation chart from the 2500 says pitch bend can be recognized and transmitted by the sequencer section, but not by the sampler section. whatever that means... i really would like to see a detailed chart, where i can see what is what. All i understand from that is that i can seperatly access the sampler and sequencer section thru midi, but i can't see from that what infromation needs to be send to control the sequencer's pitchbend with a midikeyboard.

no man it sucks but there saying you can record events of a pitchbend from an external keyboard into the mpc sequencer and it will play back fine, however the sampler in the mpc cant transmit the events to a keyboard or into the sequencer. its just not biult to do that.

The 4000 is what you need for this. The sampler doesn't respond to pitchbend... The suggestions above are as good as it gets.
