8 Outs + Delta 1010 + Sony Acid

8 Outs + Delta 1010 + Sony Acid

Anyone know how I can set up Acid to work with my Delta 1010 so it records 8 separate tracks from my 8 outs at the same time? I want to be able to just hit record and hit play on the MPC and get all 8 at one time, not record each sound separately (hence the point of having 8 outs?).

Right now when I hit record it creates one track from one of the Delta 1010's inputs, how do I make it record many tracks at a time, one from each of the inputs.

Anyone know how to set this up? I emailed m-audio and he said it was in the track properties in acid, but I still can't seem to find where I can record 8 tracks simultaneously(see pic^^).

Wuddup dude? Read into Acid Pro 6 and it's new features 8) In the meantime, use vegas, adobbe audition etc for that what you are trying to do. I use Vegas in that EXACT way you are talking about.

The menu you are looking at in acid is NOT for breaking out channels, it's for the general record function in to acid. do yourself a favor and check out the new features of acid pro 6 *hint* it does stuff that previous version of acid couldn't.

Aight I got acid 6 now but i'm still not seeing this setting to record 8 inputs simultaneously. help me out Lamp?

I'm not at home in the lab right now, I'm halfway around the world in the desert, but I do know what you are talking about.

In "Preferences", "Audio Device" choose your multiple input audio interface on all the appropriate boxes/menus.

Now, in the Acid workspace under your big bold timer in the blank space, right click, choose "Insert Audio Track"

Right click on the part where you are supposed to type your track label/name and at the bottom of the popup menu choose "Record Inputs"

You will see ALL of your inputs stretched out on that menu, choose whichever input you want that track to record from, easy. This is also in the Acid Pro 6 Manual. I'd show you the page but I think you should be smooth sailing from here. 8)

Older versions of Acid only let you choose "Insert MIDI track" which ALOT of people hated, and now they are in love with Acid because of this functionality.

Right clicking on different things inside Acid and Vegas is JUST like "Open Window" on MPC's, you'll find new menus and stuff to mess with and it opens new worlds..
