I dont understand when I go to record to get a sample from digital in, it never sounds like the source once recorded. It sounds either to high pitch or to slow or just nothing like it should, it will not have the bass in it or anything.. Why?

ok
this may be a dumb question, but it's important to know.

you're not putting phonos into the digital in are you?

What's the source that you're connecting to the SPDIF input? The MPC can only do 16-bit 44.1kHz - if your digital audio source is sending at a different bit-depth or sample-rate, then I can imagine that all sorts of badness will occur. (although, I'd also be surprised if it worked at all if the signal is not 16/44.1)

Its from the spdif out on my pc. It also does it from the record in mono connectors.
