Hi,

My first post here. allready did visit this page a couple of times, but mostly got my 2K info from www.midicase.com and the mailinglist that belongs to that side.

I used the search function on this forum, but didn't find any info. (I proberly looked to quick).

Why on earth does the MPC1000 have no hold funktion?
You can be a lot more creative when using two hands on the pads and having the noterepeat on hold.
I hope this will be implemented within the next OS update!!!!!

Because the earth is round and the mpc is not. :)
Now, seriously, there is a key combination to hold the note repeat. I've see someone writing about it, and if I remember well, it was [shift]+[note repeat]. So you don't have to wait for the next OS update.

Even if you have to hold [note repeate] with one finger, you can still use the other 4 fingers to hit the pads. That is how I do it, I press [note repeat] with my little finger of my right hand and with the other 4 fingers I can easly hit all the pads.

That's the key combination on the 2000, not on the 1000!!

I keep a small weight on top of the button using an adhesive tape. Believe me, it helps.

yes, that works :)

It should be just a small OS change for the Akai people.
