i didn't really want to star another 'midi delay' thread but it seems different enough than the tracking thread to warrant it.

i've had my heart set on being able to play my vsts (within cubase) and i received my midi cables (m-audio uno) this week to sync the mpc and cubase.

i feed the sound from the mpc 'live' into my audio cards inputs so it's playing sound through cubase.

but when i get to add my synth lines with a vst on the playback all the sounds are delayed. examining the midi data it's clear there is a start delay with the mpc (mpc is slave).

i really hope there is some way to get this nailed down to sync sharply.

i haven't upgraded to os1.0 yet. would MTC resolve this issue?

i also wanted to slave cubase by the mpc but i had heard that this is not such a good set-up.

any ideas on this delay? is it possible feeding the sound into cubase live is causing an 'event' delay??

thanks for any answers

can i ask if you use a mixer or feed your mpc audio straight into cubase (mpc > pc in) so all sound (mpc and vsts) are coming out of your pc out?

what is the latency on your audio card. I run all of my gear directly into cubase. 24 inputs all running about about 2.56 samples in and out. I have also adjusted the recording offset in cubase so when i track in its dead on. Everything syncs up just fine this way. I would say its probably latency from the audio card. Are you using asio drivers?

What do you mean it bleeds? What program are you using, and are you using multiple outputs?
