MPC and MIDI and sequencer (soft)!!

Hi everybody,

I 've just to buy an MPC. I know i can use a sequencer like cubase and my mpc in the Same time by midiClock.

So everybody told me that i have to put my mpc in master and my sequencer in slave. But i don't see why i have to do that. Why in this way and not in other ?

What is the differents configurations you use with the mpc and a sequencer ?

For exemple i want to make some beat with the mpc, and play a bassline with a VSTi, is it possible to do that ?

You can set your MPC as either the slave or master. Another idea that I use at times is using your mpc to sequence your soft synths as stand alone. Just set the midi controller in the synth prefreneces to the port in your midi interface that you got the mpc going into. This way I'm sequenceing all using hardware, which is cool when you don't fell like looking at a computer screen. Other times I just use logic as normal with the MPC as just a slave.

And after you reccord your song on the sequencer ?

Record into Pro Tools. Just take your audio out and put it into your audio in. Just like you were recording any other synth.

it can not be slaved to midi clock and the mpc 1000 sends midi clock.

Wich config is better : MPC in Slave or the sequencer in Slave ?

The MPC have no MTC sync ...... If think it very bored to works without that ??
