broke button

i think i just wore out my track mute button, its not the plastic part thats broke, im pretty sure its the actual sensor, seems like my up arrow and my trackmute buttons wore out, i know this happens on the 2000 a lot, after about 2 1/2 years somethings gotta give.

i've been recording all tracks on one sequence, 18 plus tracks, and recording just muting and copying the tracks to new sequences, like most people do

its just a pain in the ass **** with muting tracks on the main screen

any suggestions on how i should work my shit now?

buttons are very easy to fix.
my up button seemed to be giving out a while ago but it's good now...for now, anyway.

order new sensors from vst and a soldering iron. don't used acid solder. it'll take you a good half hour, and you're good as new! it won't cost you much either...

apparently according to nick the 1k button sensors underneath the plastic is the same build as the 2500 and 2000, so don't be worried - as you said, after 2.5 years of no-joke use, something will have to give.

nah 4000 too. if i remember correctly, nick said that everything but the old 60s and 3000s have the same little encoders underneath. so everyone complaining about "crappy buttons" is just talking about the literal plastic buttn

o ic , yea but its no problem fixing the plastic button itself .... the sensor is hard haha u gotta do soldering and that takes time .... i have heard people talk bout somthin with the 4000's buttons but that was a long time ago
