ok, so at last i have my baby MPC 1000! im getting on well, getting round the pads, buttons etc! :D :D :D

but, im after an answer to a question about Loading with flash, ive done the whole USB link up, and made a folder on my flash called 'Hip-Hop Beats 1', and put in a few wav. files (basically drum hits, all at 44.1Khz and at 16 bit), then ive read the manual on how to load from flash etc,! but im still unclear, i do all the 'Load screen' select the files from viewing the folder, and then load them up, and they work, cuz i press F2 and they play! but when i go to make a program, i scroll through the samples using the DATA wheel, but i cant find the hits ive just loaded up! is thier something else i need to do???? am i making/loading them wrong?

ive done a search and i couldnt find anything, so a hand would be very helpful!

please help!

PEACE

you should save as a program, then it will ask if you want to save samples. That way when you load the program from CF card all your samples will still be where you assigned them. hope that helps - peace

cheers for the help, but thats not really the problem!

the problem is, i cant get my samples into the sequence in the first place!!! when i scroll along with the DATA wheel to select a sample, my samples dont appear!!!!!!!! all the other ones in the Akai that are preset or whatever appear, but not mine! even after numerous loading!

please help again!

Rob, Did you transfer the folder/sounds from your PC to your Flash Card and then load them into the MPC from the flash card?

when you load your samples one by one in the Load menu, you can also select the pad to which you want to assign each sample. Do that! then go to the Program menu and hit the pad to which you have assigned the sample when you were in the Load menu. If it doesn't play and it does not show your sample's name, you have a more serious problem, but first...try whatever I just explained.

im being stupid! i thought when you loaded them they appear alphabeticly, for example say i had 'Hi Hat A' it would appear in the H's, but it doesnt, they get send to the very end behind the 'Z's, on thier own!!!!
