.WAV MPC Compatible PLEASE Help

I have a sh!t load of .WAV samples on my computer. I am buring them on to discs to load into my MPC2000XL and my MPC4000. I noticed that some of the file extension in the WAV format are .wav and .WAV (one being capitalized and the other being in lower case). I am having some problems getting my burnt discs to read on the MPC4000, because it will only load one sample at a time. This is obviously very frustrating, trying to load over 1000 .WAVs one at a time. I notticed that some of my other samples will play on the computer through a normal audio program (MusicMatch JukeBox, Windows Media Player), but then the exact same files won't read on my MPC2KXL. I am getting totally frustrated over this, and it killing me to solve this problem. I thought about going through all the WAV samples on my computer and just Converting them to .WAV through a conversion tool on MusicMatch JukeBox to see if it might produce a "colony" effect by making all the samples the same, and therefore being able to play on my MPC2KXL and my MPC4000. Please help me troubleshoot this matter. I have a lot of samples on my pc that I want to burn to disc to be able to load into my MPCs but its coming out wrong every time. Please help.....

PS: Maybe there is some special software I could use to burn MPC compatible sample cds in .WAV format?

You have to burn them as "data" disk not "audio" disk.........thats the big secret with burning from computer to make disk for the mpc.......if you are using mpc editor make sure you only have samples named with 8 characters.......because anything over 8 will not be reconized

Yo Phatz... I am buring the disc as a data, but you made an interesting point with the characters. I believe I have a lot of samples thay may be "overnamed" - Seems like such a simple fix. lemme check it out and see how that works. In the meantime, I would still appreciate any troubleshooting tips y'all can think of. GOD Speed - Peace!

they must also be 16bit samples.........if they are not you will get a message on the screen of the mpc2kxl stating that they are not 16bit samples........I only know of the 2kxl thats what I use

So what would be the best method to get all my samples in order and format them to 16bit? Is there any program out there that can handle the task of formatting a large quantity of samples (5000+)??
