Promise of looking into it? It was there before and its there now....some promise. The work around is something we discovered a long time ago....when the problem first surfaced.

The same reason why you are responding to my reponses.....

But back to what I was saying...it has nothing to do with any MPC. I am talking about this JJ OS. It was suppose to be like the coming of the savior or something without any bugs...bug they are in fact there. So besides this one bug, have you found any more?

By Mpc1kallday Wed Sep 27, 2006 2:40 am
jj is fixing bugs like crazy im sure in a few months the mpc1000 will have the most solid OS of all mpc's

Stop being so gay, I am not worried about things getting ugly. If the OS has bugs, talk about them. There is no reason to hide things.......so stop trying to hide them...

ok you persistant motherslamming little toolbox. goodbye.
i honestly tried to be nice and tell you to buzz off. but you're not running this os and the last thing i checked you're using an mpc2500 w/ an akai os

so peace, you're done here, this doesn't concern you.

So you are back to moderating
I knew you had a financial interest in the OS because you are trying to down play this.

I am not at all suprised...I am just the annoying kid that says "I told you so". If Akai put some many years into creating the OS in the first place..what makes anyone think that a 3rd party would come along and fix it in a matter of months ??? (unless the 3rd Party is actually Akai  ).

But anyway...I will check out the other bug threads. This one is confirmed so there isn't much more to discuss until it is fixed....maybe...

Good for you.

Since this is a confirmed bug that will get fixed (may have already been fixed) there really is no reason for you to continue to read.

jahrome you should try the os before you talk. its an 'addon' to os 2.10.. not an entirely new os. it adds on new features. anything that was wrong with 2.10 is still wrong unless JJ has taken the time to correct it. before the new os i didn't have grid edit, editing groups of pads at the same time was tedious, no midi time code..(ableton syncs with my mpc now..) no direct record tracks. really the list is endless... and the fact that they are making an 'add on' to the 2500 (read: adding features to it that aren't there) should be proof enough that the OS is worth $30. i mean you felt the differences between the 1000 and 2500 at that time was worth $1000.. i feel the difference between os2.10 and JJs os is worth $30. i dont really understand why you are messing around in these threads, an addon will be available for your machine soon enough and maybe even provide features the 1000 doesn't have.

8bitsofdeath,

Who da fluk are you

This thread hasn't had any activity for days and I was actually through with it until now.

I never had to pay for an MPC OS before and really don't intend to (no, I will not buy the future JJ OS...nor will I ever install the 3rd party 3.16 OS in my MPC 3000...unless it is supported by Akai). But now, thanks to some of you clowns, we may have to in fact pay for future operating systems. Why would Akai/JJ give us a free OS...now that people are willing to pay for it? Now you spent $30 on an OS that has some of the same issues as the free OS...

And the MPC 2500 already has features that the 1000 doesn't..but this is not the point..I really don't care if the both have an indentical OS. This doesn't change the fact that I would never choose a 1000 over an MPC 2500....that's silly. Why I am hanging around here? Because I want to..and when/if I want to buy a 1000...I will do so.

don't even pretend to want to cry about this if you go around boasting about how you can afford a very expensive hobby.

well do you work for akai or something? why dont you want your mpc's to be better than they are? are you scared of them?
