Which MPC? Doc u gotta help me out here

Hi guys. I'm planning on buying an MPC. I've been reading up for ages trying to decide which one to get. Have been making beats on all sorts of software programs but I can't get into my zone-u know wat im talking about? Basically I get most of my sounds off records-not into the factory shit. I plan to use an MPC with Pro Tools for mixing and route all my instruments to the MPC for sequencing.

The 2000XL MCD looks good to me or should I save the extra cash for a 2500?

What are the main differences?

hi friend, save the money for a studio version of the 2000xl. meaning it has the memory card, and the 8 outs, and the fx board installed. Then it will be better than the 2500.

Go to the MPC Comparison section and kind of read around. I noticed you said XL and 2500. You should compare them side by side and figure out what offers u EVERYTHING you need. I know u are a newbie but u gotta start somewhere. Either machine in my opinion will work and both are easy to use. But with the new Updates/OS I'd say go for the mpc1000. But thats on you. Try going to a music store to test them out(if possible).

Cheers guys. The 1000 seems pretty good, that new OS seems dope, now its got a delay effect which is cool. My only gripe is the connections. I'm an engineer dude who likes to sample my own stuff then sequence, so the abiltiy to mix the tracks in pro tools is a must. The 4000 seems awesome!
