mine looks almost exactly like yours does. the rainbow wires on mine are connected to the board inside the enclosure, and then they're tied in a small knot on the shell of it, then they hang long with a black tip that sorta plugs into something else.
These PCD-25 drives you guys got from GARLAND COMPUTERS still have the SCSI UNIT ID SELECTION HARNESS attached.
Proves that they were ripped from an external enclosure.
Where external enclosures are concerned; this "HARNESS" is usually connected to another circuit board containing the SCSI ID SELECTION switches.
As you are not going to be selecting the SCSI ID's on these drives.
Remove the rainbow coloured coloured wires as they will not be used.
Without these wires connected to a SCSI ID SELECTION SWITCH the PCD-25 will default onto SCSI ID 0+1.
